A few years ago, just after selling my company to a private equity group from Los Angeles, I was invited to a three-day strategic gathering of all CEOs and management boards from their portfolio companies. This wasn’t a casual meet-and-greet. It was a serious event where leaders from all over the world came together to discuss strategy, growth, and the future of our businesses.
